ReplyDeletewell back in the day licoln try to start the freemans beruo and some gernorle wanted to support the beruo so he teach the blacks how to read. but there were some people in the south that still thought they were still supure than the black. what im trying to say is that after the war there was still problem with the blacks. but today it is all cool the is no more of the kkk and black and whites are working and livin to together
1) it was about the lives of freed slave trying to unite with the white after the freeing.
ReplyDelete2) reconstruction was the rebuilding of the social behavior of the whites and blacks. it also dealt with the rebuilding of buildings and forts that were destroyed.
After freeing the slaves it was very very hard to help the slaves live on their own with freedom and finding jobs for them. The freemans beruo helped the slaves find a job. Yet when the new president, Andrew Johnson did not let the Freemans Buero help anymore. The south had a hard time because their economy went down hill, yet the South thought they were still higher than everone. Then some slaves became democrats. The South and North still fought even though the war was over and there were no slaves.

ReplyDelete2. reconstruction was when the country was faced with a challenge as bringing the states citizens back together as a nation. the north tryed to give slaves land but struggled. and the south also struggled helping the slaves.
1- The slaves were freed adn they were gave the equal right to have there own property and grow and take of their own property.
ReplyDelete2- The reconstruction was reuniting the states back together. North wanted the slaves to have their own equal right for property and produce. South wanted them to be able to still force to work for them and were worried the slaves would take their jobs.
1)It disscusses what happened to the slaves after freedom. About how the old masters stole land form their former slaves and the whites still thought that they were still above the African Americans. The former slaves began to form their own churches and move on with their lifes.

in the south they didnt do much of anything bacause they still didnt agree with the fact they had no slaves.
1.) Lincoln asked congress to start a Freedmen's Bureau. It offered free Education, training and finicial support. Union General John Howard was a strong supporter. The freed slaves were promised forty acres and a mule, that were confinscated from the confederates, but confederates stole the land back. Southerners still believed they were supiorer to blacks.

The North came up with the Freedmen's Bureau and helped the former slaves. The South didn't like the idea of not having slaves and treating the former slaves like humans.
1 This was about how the war was over and people were working to help the blacks be free and start there own lifes. But other people were still trying to make it so that it was not possible for blacks to not be able to work or have there own land.

Many of the southerns were in poverty and the former slaves look forward to shaping there own destineis. Southerners had to take an oath supporting the United States. The north was also living in horrible times and were about to start there rebuild.

1.The souths was sad becouse the slaves where free, slaves were now going to their own churches. Black schools were started with black teachers.Southerners were against the Freedman's Bureau as they had lost their slaves. The Freedman's Bureau helped former slaves. Blacks came into politics. Scalaways were accused of harming the South, Carpetbaggers were from the North to gain profit.
