  1. 1) The cartoon is saying that as much as the U.S. wants to avoid the European debt crisis, it will be our problem eventually.
    2) European stocks have crashed and now all of Europe is in debt and in need of financial stability. It is relevant to the U.S. in that the economy of Europe and our economy effect each other. It is the same as when our stock markets crashed and it hurt Europe.

  2. 1. It's talking about if the shawdow is something from the present or something from the future.
    2. France and Germany are the 2 main countries that are in debt. This will effect everyone in every country because if the value changes of the euro then all the money in the worlds value will change with it. The solution they believe will help, is to make the banks stronger so this will help countries and people pay back debt. It also effects the u.s. because we depend on them.

  3. 1) To me that means that america is affraid that, the situation with europe will happen to us.

2)the countries are in dept so its causing more dept around more places which means a lot of helpful programs would have to be cancelled and it affects us bc we are involed with them.

2.) The European Debt Crisis is that the countries in the European Union are in debt.. Causing people to riot.

  8. 1.) It shows that America is worried about what might happen with the European debt crisis. We are not sure what will happen and how it will affect the U.S. Plus, we are afraid that the same thing milght happen to us.

2.) The crisis is about all of the debt gathering in Europe and in the European countries. Many things are happening in Europe that are similar to what happened to the U.S. a few years ago.

2-the crisis in europe now it's really bad but the banks now dont need to receve all money the europe need to pay to them and the USA can be affect because american sold thing to the all world and can have a crisis too

  15. Garret, Good explanation of the debt situation.

Lacey, Nice job of including the names of countries that are in debt right now.

  16. Garret! - You worded your question 2 very well. You did a great Job! but you should have mentioned how it hurt Europe with our stock markets crashed.

Oscar!- You did great! I can agree with you that the helpful programs would have to be cancelled and that it would definately affect us majorly.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Garret, I agree with it how you say it is the same as when the u.s. markets crashed.
Carson, I like how you compare it to the u.s.a so its easier to understand.

  18. Garret: I think that you are right and that they are basically the same.

Haden: I agree with you and I think that Europe and America do rely on each other.

  19. 3) Cassidy- I like how you gave specific details on what Europe is going to have to do.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Garret agree that we rely on eachother so if one goes down the other is right behind it

lacey i agree that france and germany are the 2 main countries and if anyone of them go down it wont take long for the rest to go down with them

  21. 1.) It just explains that since the European Crises is talking to Uncle Sam, America is afraid that the same thing will happen to us.

2.)The European Stock Market crashed and they need a lot of financial support. When that happens, the same thing happens to the United States. When our stock market crashed, it affected European countries just the same.

3.)Lacey, I agree but France and Germany aren't the only European countries that we depend on.

Haden, I definitely agree with you because we depend on European countries so much that if something in the stock markets were to happen to them or us, they would happen to the other.

  22. 1) the cartoon is saying that the european debt will come and effect us later years
2)if our stock market goes out of biusness it will hurt other countries econonies if other countries stock market goes out it can also effect us.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 1.)It talks about how the europe economy has crashed.
2.)It is relevent to the united states because if they are in crisis and crash when we dont help them, then when were in worse condition there will be no one to help us.
    3.)Garret - good job.
    Oscar- I agree.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 1.) The cartoon is showing that in the future Europeans probably won't be able to afford a christmas because they are in such a high debt they won't be able to afford any nice things.
2.) The European debt crisis is Europe's stock market crashing putting them in an extremely high debt. This is relevant to the United States because we are also in a high debt and our stock market is getting worse and worse.

    ReplyDelete
  25. 1)That the European stocks don't only effect Europe but also the United States because we co-exist with eachother.
2)When the Euro loses its value, the dollar could lose its value. Americans have money invested in European markets as well as Europeans have money invested in American markets.
3)Kacee, I do believe that we may get riots breaking out possibly, but it is highly unlikely for riots in the U.S. because we would get a bounce back from what is going on in Europe and how that can relate to the U.S. in the near future.

Carson, I agree, perhaps this is just a reversal of what happened to us. Europe may possibly be screwed, look at us.

    ReplyDelete
  26. 3) Kacee- i agree with you that the European's were upset about the government cutting wages.
Oscar- I agree with you too, that the Europeans, and the government cancelled programs and it affected the European's.

  27. 1. the message is that u make your futrue what you want it to be. consequences will come if you dont.
    2. the european debt crisis is that there is not enough money in circut to keep the country on its feet. the same thing is happening in the united states. people are losing jobs because companys are having to bake some serious budget cuts so they too dont end up in the hole.
    3. Oscar, i totally agree with you.
Garret, that is so true. i agree with you.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 2) garret i agree with you and i also agree with oscar he is latino..

    ReplyDelete
  29. 3- oscar I agree with you but i thing the economy in europe is not to bad how was in a year and the banks dont gonna receve all the money now and they gonna agree with that.
haden qamerican is really scared because the economy here it's not really good.

  30. 1.when it effects them it is goin to effect us.

    2. When it effects them it effects us like when we are in a debt crisis it effects them.Like now we are starting to rise alittle and now that they are at a downfall we probably will start to go to a downfall.

3.Osacr i totaly agree 100%,i think it will happen to us aswell.

kacee i agree i think there will be a riot with them.

    ReplyDelete
  31. 3.) Garret i agree with your post. I think the only way to get out of these debts is to make money off other country's and stop spending so much money on other not needed luxuries.
3.) I also agree with Lacey in the same way.

    ReplyDelete
  32. 1)The cartoon is saying that if we don't change this will come back and bite us in the butt.
2)The stocks have crashed and if it doesn't change it this could happen to us too.
