  1. As a farmer in this time, it's very hard for me to come up with the cost of machinery and even buying seed. With this new technology era everyone is looking down on farmers, but what if there were know farmers? This economy would go down hill and hurt our states. So please consder helping us with paying for machinery that we could share so we can provide for our family and help the economy.

  2. Today our farmers are struggling because of prices we can not afford to produce the foods that our economy needs. Therefore our economy is going to struggle until the prices to buy the seed go down.

  3. I am facing competition from other countries. The railroads keep raising their freight prices, and our crop prices are getting lower and lower as the other farmers are producing more. Most people borrowed money to pay for the land or buy new equipment. The farmers who can't repay are losing their land.

  4. Farmers face a lot of problems. There are times that there isnt enough water and they have to turn the pivots on. Crop prices can be a big problem, because the supply was in big demand. Farmers had to borrow money to pay for there land. Those who could not pay for the land lost there farms. Farmers produced more crops and livestock. They tried to produce more to break even.

  5. We farmers are having a hard time trying to make a profit b/c the machinery and seed costs are very high. If the economy fails and the farmers go out of business then you will have no food and goods to survive. If you can help lower the price for machinery and seed so we can live descent and make a little profit.

  13. Today i am hear to speek before a Senate committee because of the debt of the farmers in the Midwest. Soon prices will tumble as supply exceeded demand. But railroad freight prices will continue to spiral upward, as did the cost of new machinery. As farm profits seem plunge, farmers are tring to produce more to just break even. Though greater production only pushes prices even lower. Thouse farmers that borrow money to pay for land or equipment some dont pay it back and lose their farms and end up paying rent to the new owners. others were forced to become farm laborers.
