well some of the ideas of the atomic bomb was to take out most of japans war bases and more other stuff that would help japan.

1)After Pearl Harbor the U.S. wanted to get back at Japan somehow. So they created atomic bombs that would be dropped on Japan.

On the Hiroshima bombing, Colonel Paul Tibbets was flying the Enola Gay(named after Colonel Tibbet's mom) dropped the bomb Little Boy. In the Nagasaki bombing, the Bockscar and its crew dropped Fat Man.

1) The Japanese estimated that 240,000 people died. But Japan urrendered in August 1945.

1. Truman was the one that gave the ok to drop the first bomb. It was on Auguest 6th that a us plane dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. three days later the united states dropped the second bomb on Nagasaki. Alot of the Japenese were killed.

1)on august 6th a U.S plane called the Enola Gay dropped an atomic bomb on Heroshima. It flattened a huge area of the city and killed more than 75000 people. Three days later the U.S dropped the second bomb in Nagasaki. The total nember of people dead was estimated to be 240,000 people.
