The Price of Victory (Blog #32)

After years of struggle and sacrifice, World War II ended in victory for the Allies. But the price was high. The toll in lives and property was without precedent. Most alarming was the knowledge fully revealed only after the defeat of Germany that Hitler had tried to exterminate all the Jews of Europe. Along with peace came many uncertainties about the future.

Your Assignment:

1.) Discuss some of the cost of WWII.
2.) What were the international consequences of WWII.

Due: Sunday 4/17/11 by no later than 11:59pm

Two cities in the Soviet Union(Kiev and Minsk) had to be completely rebuilt. 30 million noncombatants died because of bombings, shellings, disease and/or starvation.
