When war enveloped Europe, the United States tried to remain neutral. In 1917, however, the U.S. joined the Allied cause. The government quickly moved to mobilize the economy and to build public support for the war. (Watch the following video links below)

ReplyDelete2) Well, to mobilize would just be to prepare for the possibility for a war or conflict. The country could do this by gathering supplies and also by having troops on hand. Maybe they would start pushing factories more in order to have enough supplies for what may be in the future.
3) The government would use scare tactics such as Propoganda to get the people thinking about the war. They would get everyone to work together as a nation to support the war and also help make it successful.
