By giving jobs to the poor Americans. The slaves were escaping and begining lives in the northern states. Woman got more rights like being able to vote.
ReplyDelete1. Dorothea Dix made a report convincing people ot the need of rehabilitation. She wanted to restore them to a useful place in society.
ReplyDelete2. With the industrial revolution and the market revolution, the demand went up for slaves. they lived in cramped houses, or in cities. They started Underground Railroad to help them escape. They also formed the first national antislavery organization devoted to immediate aboliton. It was called the American Anti-Slavery Society.
3. To help the women, they had a convention called the Seneca Falls Convention. The adopted the Declaration of Sentiments. They wanted to strengthen women's legal postion, and the righht to vote.
