    1) War Propaganda. People during the war used a lot of methods to premote the war or show they were against it by using moives, posters or books.

    2) Women in WWII. Some women took over the jobs of men and went out to war.

    3) Rationing. People grew their own products during the war and the government wanted to put a price on them.

    1)The draft. During WWII the United States put in place the first true draft. Men were chosen from the ages 21 to 36. If picked you were supposed to serve a term of one year.
    2)Manhatten Project. The scientists in the US were trying to catch up to the scientists in Germany by creating atomic bombs.
    3)U-boat peril. During the war Germany used U-boats as a marine warfare strategy. They were said to have been spotted in the Mexican Gulf

    2- Pearl Habor- Japanese attacked Pearl Habor and is remember as one of the worst tragedies in WWII

    The Draft- the U.S. congress passed a bill to achieve the first full draft during WWII

    Manhattan Project- top secret atomic bomb testing and developement so the U.S. would have the first atomic bomb

    1) "We Can Do It" This was about the wemon intering the work force because the men were over fighting in the war and they needed to support there familys.

    2) "War Propaganda" This was about selling things for the war to get more money to fight and buy supplies.

    3)"The Draft" This was about making men sign up for the war and they had ages that were in there early adults then they went to teenagers to elder adults.

    1.The women in the war helped so many things for WW11. They took over jobs that the men left behind when they went to war. Half of their jobs were making supplies for the war. They also were nurses out on the field for the hurt.
    2. Japanese-Americans were very affected in this war. They were sent to detainee camps. Americans sterotyped Japanese after pearl Harbor.
    3.During the war their was rationing. The big thing was on rubber and on food. Many families started to plant gardens and had to watch what they bought and ate.

    1) North America: We can do it. During WWII entered the workforce in large numbers. Making the products that the soliders needed.The percent of women working went from 27 percent to 37 percent.
    2)North America: Japanese Americans
    The attack on Pearl Harbor scared the Americans and lead to a great time of racisim. so the government thought that to be safe they would have to move the Japanese Americans to internment camps. There were nearly 120,00 Japanese uprooted from their homes.
    3)North America: Rationing.
    Because of the war the government made plans to ration food. Then weeks after Pearl Harbor Roosevelt signed a bill that allowed the Office of Price Adjustment to set price controls and supple levels. America had to choose wisely.

    1. Pearl harbor- Took more than 2400 servicemn lives. It is remembered as one of the worst tragities iin world war II.

    2. In June 1940 while the war was in full force president roosevelt passed the draft. meant when you turn 18 you have to sign up for the draft.

    3. in december 1942 the US government authorized a top secret program of nuclear testing and development to creat the worlds first nuclear bomb.

    D day was june 6th 1944. it was the largest amphibous assualt in history.

    The goal of the Manhatten project was the develoment of the worlds first atomic bomb.

    on feb 1945 30000 marines began there assualt on iwo jima. It produced the most casualties rates.

    1)WWII is when women started to make their mark on society. they started working outside the home and entered work forces.
    2)Natzi Expantion- This led France and Britain to declare war on Germany which was called WWII.
    3Yalta Conference- Three leading allied powers met in Yalta. which rose the discution on the Cold War.

    Hitler wantted Lebensraum for the German race to expand so he moved troops into the demilitarized Rhineland, annexed Austria and pressured Britain to yield to his territorial demands in Czechoslovakia.
    American women entered the workforce during WWII. Widespread male enlistment left many open spots in the labor force. BEtween 1940 and 1945, the female percentage of U.S. workforce increased from 27 to 37 percent. By 1945 one out of every 4 married women worked outside the home.
    The chinese government appealed to U.S. for aid against Japanese. The United States responded to these appeals in late 1941. U.S. Army captain Claire Chennault led a small but elite group of pilots known as the Flying Tigers. They used surprises and precision flying to score a group of victories against the larger Japanese air force. U.S. war records show the Flying Tigers lost 22 pilots, while destroying 300 Japanese planes.

    1- pearl harbor was a horrific ordeal. it took the lives of 2400 american lives. "a day that will live in infamy" is how president roosevelt. it crippled the us naval fleet and therefore, it took much time to rebuild and then finally concor japan in the pacific.
    2- because of the fear of another "pearl harbor," roosevelt ordered all japanese americans were removed from their homes and businesses. many lost their jobs and never quite recovered. it was a very racist thing to do but back then, there was still segrigation and so it was not looked down upon quite as bad as it would be now.
    3- the selective service and training act of 1940 was the first peacetim draft in american history. this was nearly 2 years before pearl harbor and the us entering the war. this said that only 900,000 men could be in service at one time but all men between 21 and 36 had to register.
